GENERATIONAL BEAUTY, GENERATIONAL WEALTH.
MY BEAUTIFUL GRANDMOTHER, THE ONE WHO ALWAYS STAYED IN HER TRUE FEMININITY ALWAYS.
MY BEAUTIFUL MOTHER, THE ONE WHO INSPIRED ME TO CARRY THIS BEAUTIFUL LEGACY ON.
THREE GENERATIONS OF BEAUTY
ROOTS SPANNING ORIGINALLY FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA AND LOUISIANA, WHICH HEAVILY INFLUENCES MY SENSE OF STYLE. GROWING UP I ALWAYS SAW MY MOM INTO DOING HER MAKEUP, LOOKING ASTONISHINGLY BEAUTIFUL FROM HEAD TO TOE. MY MOM ALWAYS KEPT HER HAIR DONE, HER FACE DONE ALWAYS WEARING THE PRETTIEST OUTFITS . SHE STOOD OUT FROM THE CROWD AND TAUGHT ME TO NOT ONLY BE BEAUTIFUL BUT CELEBRATE ALL OF OUR ROOTS, RANGING FROM LATINA, ISLEÑO, CAJUN & CREOLE WITH ELEMENTS OF NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN, THIS IS A CELEBRATION OF LIFE TO REMEMBER AS THEY HAVE BOTH PASSED ON, SEPTEMBER IS A SENTIMENTAL MONTH TO ME FOR THE BOTH OF THEM. COMING UP ON HER THIRD YEAR OF HER NO LONGER BEING HERE, THIS IS HOW I SHOW MY APPRECIATION TO THE QUEENS, MY MOM & MY GRANDMOTHER.
I REMEMBER GROWING UP AS A LITTLE GIRL FROM THE AGE OF TWELVE HEARING MY MOM JOKINGLY SAY "EYELASHES MAKE MY HISPANIC SIDE COME OUT MORE" SHE WOULD ALWAYS JOKINGLY SAY. SHE ALSO TAUGHT ME TO PROUDLY WALK IN MY LATINA ROOTS. MY GRANDMA WALKED IN HER FEMININITY SO WELL SHE DIDN'T WEAR SNEAKERS FOR THE FIRST TIME UNTIL SHE WAS 60, ALWAYS WEARING FLATS AND HEELS ALL HER LIFE, SHE WAS A TRUE LADY.
